Bike Kitchen UvA

Since September 2023, the Bike Kitchen UvA have already helped 460 students (from various faculties and backgrounds) in 2 months time, which includes 2% of the entire university-campus. A thriving bike community including more than 70 volunteers, have helped transforming a car- turned-bicycle parking garage into a learning and self-repair space within less than a year. Promoted by the Dutch national- and local news, the Opening of the Academic Year and several PhD- Master- and Bachelor research-projects by several Dutch universities and the Urban Cycling Institute, the Bike Kitchen is a grassroots-initiative that is already a success story with impact with high potentials
