Long description

EcoCiclo was created in 2018 with the development of the 1st 100% biodegradable sanitary pads from Brazil. The production of this project was implemented in the city of Salvador. EcoCiclo’s pads are biodegradable in 6 month, hypoallergenic, non-toxic and vegan. This product generates income for women through its production and resale.
Currently in Brazil, we work directly with indigenous communities by leading workshops and implementing centers of production to co-create sustainable sanitary pads in partnership with the Pan-American Development Foundation (FUPAD). We also have partners such as the Z Zurich Foundation, Women Entrepreneur Network Institute and Interamerican Development Bank that support us in manufacturing the productions of EcoCiclo biodegradable pads to donate and sell.

Furthermore, EcoCiclo is implementing advocacy and educational programs on menstrual health and sustainable entrepreneurship. By raising awareness and providing resources, we empower individuals to make informed choices about their health and economic opportunities.
