Long description
In the field of home decoration, the appeal of novelty and the incessant search for the latest trends are aspects deeply rooted in human nature. Our innate desire for change and constant longing for a fresh aesthetic often leads us to acquire new items, perpetuating a cycle of consumption.
As we recognize that the desire for novelty is an intrinsic part of human behavior, the focus shifts toward developing better, greener products that satisfy these desires without sacrificing environmental responsibility.
“Garden” is a project that seeks to reimagine the manufacture of home decoration based on water-soluble bioplastic. This material offers the durability and longevity expected from conventional plastics in objects that would be “disposable” in a short period of time (1 to 2 years) and, at the same time, has the unique ability to dissolve whenever desired. T
By allowing consumers to dissolve the material when it reaches the end of its useful life or when a change in decoration is desired, this bioplastic is freed from the permanence limits associated with traditional plastics.
By harnessing innovative materials such as bioplastics, this project recognizes this inevitable need for novelty in home decor, while offering a path towards more conscious consumption. It seeks to redefine the concept of “new” by emphasizing quality, durability and environmental impact, thus promoting a culture of conscious consumption within the world of decoration.
