If we really want to fix ALL EIGHT of the Redesign Strategies you identified, you have to go to the root of the problem: Our DEBT-based economy.

By definition, the DEBT based economy MATHAMATICALLY REQUIRES economic growth that exceeds the interest rate of the debt. Otherwise the economic system collapses. This is not debatable. It’s just math.

And when you have an economic system that mathematically requires more and more growth year over year to pay back more and more debt, it results in the entire world producing more and more stuff to try and sell more and more things, to keep the perpetual motion machine afloat.

Now, consider that the earths resources are finite. There is only one planet. If you have an economy that requires pulling infinite resources out of a finite planet, what do you think is going to happen? We will devour the planet!
