Hagamos Poposta, born in 2022, represents an innovative approach addressing pet waste management in urban environments. Inspired by the belief that ‘feces are not garbage’ and aware of the issues surrounding the extensive use of plastic bags for collection, we propose a home collection service that transforms these wastes into compost. Upon joining, you receive two reusable containers: one empty and another filled with sawdust. Users deposit their pets’ waste in the empty container, and periodically, our team will collect it, transporting it to a designated area for composting. This initiative aims to contribute to cleaner urban environments and healthier parks. Additionally, a portion of the collection fee has supported the conservation of the Mexican wolf. Hagamos Poposta is part of Mexico’s most extensive urban composting network Hagamos Composta, encouraging responsibility for waste and participation in a movement towards a greener, more compassionate future where all forms of life thrive.
