HERECO, short for Hemp Recovery and Community, modernises ancient Ukrainian hemp textile methods to address today’s sustainability challenges. This process, relying solely on land, sunlight, rain, and craftsmanship, represents the ultimate in environmentally-positive material production. Since launch, we have partnered with Ukrainian artisans to revive traditional weaving techniques. Looking forward, our goal is to transform local farming communities into centres for a new, decentralised, and fair trade supply chain, ready for significant growth. By leveraging modern technology, we aim to create a production that offers fair-wage jobs in rural areas and reintroduces regenerative agricultural practices across Europe, blending heritage with innovation for a sustainable future.
