Long description

If the current trends persist, the fashion industry’s total carbon footprint could increase by approximately 60-70% by 2050, compared to current levels. This significant increase would be driven by various factors, including growing production volumes, inefficient manufacturing processes, globalized supply chains, and limited adoption of sustainable practices throughout the fashion value chain. To supercharge India’s shift towards sustainable fashion by 2050, a multi-faceted approach involving various stakeholders and concerted efforts across multiple fronts is crucial.

HoneyBee, aims to begin as an eco-conscious products’ focused on boarded onto India’s Open Network of Digital Commerce-focusing by design on inclusive accessibility, with a goal of boosting the market incentives for network effect to occur. The larger goal is to boost stakeholder engagement across the fashion ecosystem through knowledge sharing, education, access to cause a larger shift in consumer behavior, given the required growth rate for sustainable fashion to reach net zero is 29%.
