Background:

• 1/3 of all food is wasted globally, 1.3billion tonnes worth, making food waste the 3rd largest CO2 emitter in the world if it were a country.

• £700 of perfectly edible food is wasted per household per year in the UK and is the biggest cause of waste in a kitchens use-phase.

The Solution:

• A joint app and smart device system that allows households to record their household food shops into their food inventory, reminding household members that their food needs using by motivating them by generating personalised recipes based on their food inventory and meal preferences.
