MABE Bio combines technology and nature to create new materials from plants, such as bioleather, bioplastic and biocomposite.

Long description

We are disrupting leather production by developing plant-based material akin to leather, sourced from plants like Angico. We aim to provide sustainable production solutions for industries seeking to reduce their carbon footprint. Angico is native species abundant and used in reforestation projects. It has a high carbon-capturing capabilities, our material has the potential to be the first carbon negative bioleather in world. We established partnerships with communities to build supply chain that, instead of being extractive, generates value. We aspire to cultivate a supply chain that supports reforestation initiatives and fosters economic opportunities for local and vulnerable communities. According to our projections, we will contribute to conservation across 100 hectares in the Xingu (indigenous communities), annually sequestering over 250 tons of CO2. Benefiting 600 families, providing a 10% income boost. Through an ecosystemic approach we can impact not only nature but society and industry.
