Long description
EACH YEAR 20
BILLION PAIRS OF SHOES ARE
PRODUCED AROUND THE WORLD AND THIS
PROCESS
GENERATES COLASSAL
AMOUNTS OR WASTE.
Most are made using unsustainable materials—including
polyester, plastics, glues, and leathers—that require a lot of resources to create and don’t break down easily. Synthetic
materials may take up to 1,000 years to decompose in landfills after eating up substancial resources to produce and having a carbon footprint.
We partnered with KX Lab a local knit
footwear factory in Los Angeles to divert their textile waste and upcycle it into the
fill for a capsule of quilted jackets made in LA. This limited edition capsule of 20 jackets sold out and we need funding for a new spring summer line of upcycled garments.
