Long description

An innovative solution to an increasingly urgent problem, the PolyNation project seeks to rewild our urban areas, while supporting native pollinator populations. The Polyflower is a 3D Printed artificial flower, made primarily from algae and other biomaterials. It comes with C-Pollen, an artificial pollen substitute made derived from citrus food waste, as well as native wildflower seeds, designed to germinate as the flower biodegrades. The project seeks to find a net-negative intervention into a negative feedback loop between dwindling native wildlife populations, using regenerative design processes to promote ecological growth.
