In tropical countries or during summer, cars parked outside experience tremendous amount of heat in their interior due to intense sunlight. This often leads to damage of materials such as leather, dashboards, seats and infotainment systems in cars. This also creates inconvenience for drivers since they often have to endure the intense heat within the car and also have to spend money on replacing damaged materials in the interior of the vehicle.
In my project, I want to build a device that captures sunlight through the windshield of vehicles and use the energy to power a thermoelectric cooling system that intends cools the interior of the car while under the sun. The device would also come with a mobile app that would help the owners of the vehicles monitor the interior temperature of the car and make adjustments accordingly.
The device would depend 100% on renewable energy (solar power) to work.
